Working group 1 is continuing their webinar series on 26th October 10:00-11:00 UTC+0 with a presentation on on-location digital platform work from Moisés Ferreira. On-location digital platform work is rapidly expanding, yet its features and impacts on workers are often insufficiently understood. Drawing upon the results of a comprehensive scoping review of 152 studies, this webinar directly addresses two key questions: What are the main organisational features and working conditions of on-location digital platform work, and how do they relate to workers’ health and well-being? We will also explore the mediating and moderating factors at play, which range from the individual to the macro-political level. Through this analysis, we hope to contribute to a clearer understanding of digital platform work, inform future research, and lay some groundwork for the debate on how to transform this type of work organisation to better promote workers’ health and well-being.
