What does it mean to have a career, and should we always follow our dreams? 🤔
In this new book supported by the Critical approaches to career and career guidance (COCAG) project and published by Aarhus University Press, Rie Thomsen and Tristram Hooley discuss what the concept of career can offer to all of us in our lives. The book is designed to introduce people who have never really though about ‘career’ to some of the key concepts, ideas and theories that underpin the contemporary understanding of career.
This project was supported by the Critical Perspectives on Career and Career Guidance (COCAG) and DPU, Aarhus Universitet

Fantastic overview of careering. In particular, I enjoyed learning the term “burned stuck” because it applies to many people, regardless of age or education level. I appreciated the references to beloved career theorists such as Krumboltz and Bright, along with the stories of various individuals for illustration. I agree wholeheartedly with the entire book. Thank you for bringing this important perspective to all.
