This is a presentation given by Marcelo Afonso Ribeiro to the ECADOC 19 summer school in Malta. In it Macelo discusses career and career guidance in Brazil. He argues that conventional career theories are not useful to many of these workers and draws on the work of de Sousa Santos, Freire and Martin-Baro to propose new theories.
