Today we are holding a symposium at the NICEC conference looking at the turn to social justice in career guidance. I’ve talked about this a lot, but at this conference we are hearing a wide range of perspectives in the field. I think that it is really important to ensure that we bring discussion and debate about the context within which people pursue their career, the inequality and oppression that frame the opportunity structure and the kinds of responses that are open to guidance professionals to address this.
